Objectives: By a cross-sectional descriptive study, we want determine the rate of wound infections, frequently bacteria causes wound infections and evaluate of some factors which related to wound infections to propose methods and procedures to help ensure better health service at the Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacy’s Hospital. Results: The prevalence of wound infection is 2.30%, it is high in Department of Trauma and Chest Surgery (7.16%) and especially in Department of Neurosurgery (7.89%). Causes of wound infection of Gram-negative bacteria (61.54%) is the dominant group. They are Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter spp, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which accounted for the highest proportion of S.aureus 35.90%, followed by is Enterobacter.spp 23.09%...Conclusion: There is relation between wound infection with the contaminated air of operation room, while other factors all are in standard.
