Objectives: Portal hypertensive gastropathy in cirrhosis is common, that can cause a lot of severe complications but has less been studied. The study aimed to determine the clinical features, endoscopic aspects and the gastric and pathology in cirrhosis. Patients and methods: The classification of cirrhosis based on the Child Pugh criteria, gastric varices by Cales, gastric congestion by Sarin, and portal hypertension gastropathy by Lee S. Results: The results have showed the tired: 96.40%, appetite lost: 97.60%, dyspepsia: 92.68%, jaundice: 89.02%, ascites: 92.68%, stellate angioma: 73.17%. Endoscopy: Cardia venous dilatation: 81.4%, and in cardia: 18.6%. Mosaic gastritis: antral- pre pyporic: 75.61%, body: 24.39%. Others gastropathy including inflammation: 37.80%, erosion:14.63%, ulceration: 10.98% and scar: 8.54%. Histology: cardia fibrosis: medium: 45%, severe: 2.5%. Cardiac congestion: medium: 1%. Hyperplasia: medium: 4.00%. Conclusion: Portal hypertension gastropathy is common in cirrhosis, so it‘s better make the endoscopy associated histologic biopsy to detect and diagnose the disease. The study showed the mosaic gastritis: 75.71%, especially in antral region; erosion: 14.63%; ulceration: 10.98%. gastric fibrosis is low 45% and hyperplasia is very low, only 4%.
